The same kind of thing essentially happened to me. I am 50 now and was 14 when I was sent to two different psychiatric hospitals and finally military school. I am smoking cannabis again, too, because it does relieve a lot of symptoms. And, yes, many of my symptoms are related to having gone through all that when I was a teenager. The irony. I don't like the month-long flatness that results from pot cessation, nor the "dopiness" that can result from overuse, among other less pleasant effects; however, at this point in my life it is the only option that is worth it for me. I am just about finished trying to find a pharmaceutical combo that works. In my opinion, it is better, safer, and saner than alcohol.
