I am 3 years, 7 months and 26 days from the event. It took place at my home. I moved 7 months ago. I was fine and I thought okay once I was out of my house, but I had a "meltdown" over a reminding event in February and since then I feel terrible. I have stomach pains all the time, I believe every day I am going to die.

Is this ptsd? I'm afraid to talk to a "professional" if I'm over reacting.

Welcome to the forum. :)

What do you think caused your PTSD? Why do think you might have it?

We can not tell you if you have PTSD or not. We are not doctors. We can't even give you a guess, as PTSD is a serious diagnoses and requires a professionals opinion and someone who knows you and has talked with you.

I highly recommend you do see a therapist for more information. The sooner you can deal with it on a professional level, the sooner you can start your journey back to a more healthy you.

Take good care of yourself.

Hi Seekingpeace,

There are many kinds of stress related illnesses and we are not the people to diagnose them for anyone.

What I can say is that if you are experiencing pain every day you really must see a doctor. If it is not a stress related problem, you may have another illness that needs treatment.

And please try not to worry about seeking help, counselors, therapists and psychiatrists are all trained to understand people's fears and anxieties - it's their job, so nothing you can say will be rejected as "over reacting".

Wishing you peace and healing.

Hi, Seekingpeace,
I agree, you need to seek professional help for a correct diagnosis so that you can receive proper treatment. You wouldn't want to be treated for the measles if you really have the mumps. :) Giving something a name is often the first step in healing - but at least you'll know where to begin. Sending you a big ((((hug))))!
