Cbd oil review

I'm not sure if I should start a new Thread or reply on this one....

I'm going to try CBD oil and I'm going to talk to my psych doc tomorrow about any potential interactions with my current meds. I'm looking at Tru Blu. But how do I know what strength to buy? Do you start with the lowest and then increase. I don't have a lit of money to spend on lower doses if they don't work. Medical Marijuana is legal in my state should I try that instead? Or start with CBD. Is my psych going to freak out when I bring it up?

@tontoe - I am not from the UK, but perhaps you are now able to order it in the mail, even from other countries?

I used to order prescription medications, without a prescription, from the United Kingdom -l.e.g.a.l.l.y-

I don't need to do last-resort shit like ordering medications online from foreign countries, such as the UK, Spain, Canada, India, Vanuatu, and others. Could have ordered from Germany but it was too expensive, and the "loophole" they exploited to be able to do it, would mean I'd have a doctor prescribe me a medication -IN GERMANY- and then the company can legally sell me it. Them Germans and their Ordnung, huh? Lol.

Since they are importable into the United States, and will go right through customs no problem... They are (or should be? or were?) -exportable- from the UK so I imagine, maybe you have laws that allow you to order things such as, prescription medications, or CBD, online? Even if you have to source it from foreign countries such as the USA.

Definitely look into the laws in your area, get some advice from someone who knows what they're talking about.

Of course, I could not buy things like opiates, benzos, etc., nor did I want to - that stuff would require someone to use the darknet, which is rather dangerous to use, and should be avoided by everyone. I also hate opiates and always refuse them in hospitals, even if they keep offering, and my doc had a hard time getting me to take my diazepam script.

Anyway though. If I wanted to, I could have ordered antibiotics, antidepressants, blood pressure meds, hormonal medications of all sorts, cancer meds, aids meds, and stuff I can't even remember.

I used it to be able to take care of my endocrine disorders, during my abuse/torture (luckily my stockpile was good at that point [torture] or theres no way I'd have been able to get more or use any). There are medications that I need to take for my whole life, and it's unhealthy, and very unpleasant, though not quite lethal, if I don't have those meds. So it was a big deal and I had to find a way to make it work.

Wish I never needed that information.

I think that depends on your symptoms. I went for a 1:1 CBD:THC originally, but the THC screwed me up. It was too strong. So I take CBD straight up now. It is a 20% blend.

The idea is to start low and go slow. So I started with a minuscule amount and worked my way up. I think I would still consider my dosing to be micro dosing. I just needed enough to be able to function again. Meaning walking into a room without panic attacking, able to tolerate being outside and walking on my own, etc. My symptoms have been fairly dramatic though.

Not sure if that is helpful to you or not, Loui.

I honestly like an 8:5 CBD to THC ratio for my joint pains and anxiety - it makes me need diazepam less, which is great.

Critical Mass is the strain. A bit hunger inducing too, which is good for me because I'm on a drug that makes it very easy to forget to eat. Sort of tiring/calming/relaxing, I might try more strains and ratios but I definitely liked 8:5 (for the record it is actually almost exactly 8%cbd 5%thc lol.), at least in regards to my own issues, my individual response to it, etc. YMMV with everything of course.

It helped with band practice. I know there is some level of psychoactive effects of course, because I felt groovy as f*ck drumming (I used to play piano but due to my joint pain have become the drummer and we'll just get a bass player to fill in the missing low end from no piano) - but primarily, it relieving joint pain and just, pain, anxiety, etc. helped it be my most fun practice so far. Also, I started picking drums up again very fast - it's been years since I've had my double kit set up.

All of my cymbals are now cracked. Hi hat turns itself inside out, a sorry sight. But I'm gonna put it all together again, try to replace cymbals as I can, so I can practice at home. Really, you don't need a good sounding kit to practice, it's just much easier and better sounding, and yeah... it's better, ideal - for technique and stuff too. But like, simply for practice hitting the right things at the right times, it works. Better than nothing.

Sorry for the tangent lol. Just trying to point out, CBD/THC blend flower was very nice for helping me do band practice, without getting high and derping out and forgetting wtf we're doing, losing track, getting distracted. I was focused, but still getting physical/mood weed effects. Not very impairing at all, but definitely psychoactive. In my own opinion and subjective experience. Nonetheless - a very helpful thing to have in the toolkit, which isn't addictive like benzos, and isn't so impairing as other drugs, with way less side effects, and very tolerable.

Also I just like the f*ckin' experience of smoking weed. Like the ritual of smoking it itself. It's grounding to prepare it and to go through the process, and I don't smoke cigarettes so, that's all I do in regards to inhaling stuff to get drugs into my bloodstream.

edit: at the band practice space, there is a very, very nice fully mic'd kit - so I do at least have a good kit to practice on with the band, at least 1-2 times a week. I f*cking hate the toms though honestly. wish there were some small ones, and just... more toms. never enough toms dammit) - greeeeat cymbals though. Shitty kick pedal. Might bring my own next time. tangent tangent tangent lol

I hear this talk aboutthis article and that article, however, I want actual academic studies. IF it's as good as everyone says, there has to bean unbiased academic/peer-reviewed study somewhere....

I think this forum thread is a good basis for peer-reviews of cannabis and hemp based CBD. :) Also, there are MANY Veteran groups in Canada and the US that exist primarily around the use of cannabis for treatment. If you're looking for reviews and how it has effected people's lives those places would be a great start.

I am finding Aphria Rideau helpful and has been consistent. Recently i had to increase dose.

How much is too much?
I may try micro dosing but that would mean i need to carry a dosing kit everywhere i go and my memory is bad so it would suck real bad if i lost my oil or spilled it.

Rideau is 1:25 CBD. Virtually no thc.
I am on 4ml/daily so its about 100mg of CBD for 200lbs of creature.

Whats your dose?

I've found a strain with low THC works great for me, especially for anxiety. To higher does of THC risks mania, especially if you have bipolar. I've read all the research, so tablet form is better and my GP is on board, says it will be available soon, but the legislation is taking forever and being highly anxious forever is hard work.

So hypothetically, which countries would be safest to buy mail order and deliver to the UK, for example. Hypothetically, for research purposes ? The NHS is for medical cannabis, and soon these none medical, none inhaling Politicians will do the right thing, several thousand years after it was used as a herbal remedy. That's quick for of Politician. So any tips would be a god send right now, thanks in advance, feel free to PM me.

Hi - we don't have a PM system on the site anymore.

But, I'd encourage you to look into this thread.

GW Pharmaceuticals was able to successfully synthesize CBD - the non-psychoactive compound in marijuana. It was a huge breakthrough in chemistry, as it simply hadn't been done successfully. All prior attempts at duplicating either CBD or THC in a lab resulted in things that were sort-of-but-not-the-same-as the real thing, and their efficacy rates clearly showed it.

This CBD, brand name Epidolex, is different. It was developed directly from CBD and, from all I've read, it behaves exactly as CBD does.

GW pharmaceuticals is based in the UK. I don't know whether or not the drug has been approved yet for other uses, but it might be what you're looking for.
