Lots of things make sense. Reality is that I had to get someone to help me fill out the paper work to begin with. Whose questions where they ask you to justify your claimed condition, well, the anger would take over. And the questions where they wanted you to explain why you thought the Canadian Army was responsible for your injuries, it took me months to do the paper work to begin with. I even went into VAC to see if they would help. No go. In the end, the guys in at the OSISS Centre saved my bacon. They helped me get the claims out, and calmed me down a bit. I've moved since then. There is no OSISS Centre here. Paper work ain't going to happen, at least not right now. I went in to the Legion here to see the Service Officer. I don't have enough grey hair to be his problem appearantly. 43% it is.

hello first of all, im having difficulties finding info out and its driving me nuts. i have a claim in for ptsd was favorable and i got 10percent and told in a yr they will reevalute because iwas unstable...well im stable now, problem is im being medically released now and l still am not sure what my final award is going to be, bugs me for 2reasons 1.i feel like an ass worrying about money etc id rther take back last 3 years 2. im finding out schools expensive. i know its case by case but is there an average ptsd claim out there? ive had no problems w vac so far but this whole 10 to 100 percent question mark is driving me insane i think thats just human nature tho....anyway

I'm getting 1% yes..ONE. I got my initial 10% last year and they just finished mine and told me 1%..check will be mailed soon.

hey bud i hear ya. I just found out they will only give me one percent. I wanted off catagory and am due to get promoted so i wasn't honest with the docs.I have been getting worse lately and I don't want to go back and tell them I am not o.k. I don't want it to end my career.

If you're getting worse then eventually the career's going to end if you don't get help. The Canadiian Army has ben braggng lately at their success rate at returnng injured vets to service. So get back in there and give them a chance. Of course I had very little luck with the Docs, but maybe you might have more luck.

Like Zip says, If they brag about it, and are willing to invest in getting you guys back on track and keeping them in the service, take the bloody help.

Any body who doesn`t hasn`t got reason to bitch about it later. imho

How does your system work and why 1 not 2 % or even where the disability should be. Im still waiting out on UK payment but the government has me down as severly disabled on the higher rate?

1% basically says they are not convinced, but do not want to close your file so that you don't have to start all over back at square one. Makes sense if he was trying to return to active duty and so was minimising his symptoms. Still, 1% is kind of a slap in the face at the end of the day. Even if you can get treated to a point where you can return to work, I'd be appealing that.
