Relationship Cease Fire (supporter Rant)

I'm having an "I think this is it" moment. It's not the first time and I'm not sure if it is the last. But I am tired. And maybe I actually do want this to be it this time.

I'm tired of having to keep my anger in check when he throws tantrums once a week.

I'm a friendly. I am not a threat to you. Cease fire, CEASE FIRE.

i am sorry you have to go through that, i cannot imagine what it feels like to be on the receiving end of the meltdown, all i can say is for me, i feel great anguish after i wake up and have treated my loved ones terribly bad. i hope for both of you that the situation improves.

I've actually shouted & or growled that exact phrase (cease fire) more than a time or three.

Snort. I'm also not above using hand signals to direct their ass outside to vent their shit elsewhere, or for immediate silence & stopped motion. Although in retrospect I'm not exactly sure how present I am once I've quit using words to communicate? Huh. That's something I prolly need to examine. Another time!

We ended it a few days ago so I cancelled the upcoming appointment. Although it is starting to become apparent that he thinks this isn't real and that I'm not serious. He's been reaching out to me trying to be nicer than ever, but I'm not reciprocating so I can sense anger will be coming back around very soon.

LOVE the "Cease Fire" thing...I'm gonna have to use that one. LOL.

Your Vet sounds very difficult to deal with. I would just ignore the shit out of him and just let him rant... He sounds like he's about ready to go off any time now.

Do you think it's just the PTSD or do you think he has some other underlying mental disorder?
