Changing Over Medications

I have been changing over from 300mg of Luvox a day to (100 mg in the morning and 200 mg at night)

to 100mg a day (50mg morning and night) and Endep 50 mg at night.

During the process I have had a lot of anxiety. A tremendous amount of fear and terror. I felt like I was crawling out of my skin with anxiety. I have had a terrible time of it during the last week.

I have two friends whom I listen to their stuff and for whatever reasons they couldn't be there for me this last week. Which hurt alot.

My partner has been great...

It was the first time I have done a change over with a psychiatrist and it was very scary for me.

Have you survived the changeover and how long did it take?

Hey Ms Spock

Consider going to see your pdoc, or pharmacist if you can. It may be a withdrawal system from the reduction Luvox or use of Endox with the other med.

We all react differently to meds.

I tried five times to go off Zyprexa cold turkey, and each time I did I got severely depressed on the 2nd day.

My pharmacist said it was not me but withdrawal from Zyprexa.

When my pdoc switched meds on me, I didn't experience severe depression because the new drug counter-balanced the effect of Zyrexa withdrawal.
