For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23 NLT

I have always wondered, since "wages" in a plural word, not in the singular grammatical form, does that mean that every time someone dies that you love, is that one wage within your total sum of wages of sin? And then your own death would be the final wage of sin. What do you think??

John 13:34-35 New Living Translation (NLT)
34 So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. 35 Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”

John 19:1-11 New Living Translation (NLT)
Jesus Sentenced to Death
19 Then Pilate had Jesus flogged with a lead-tipped whip. 2 The soldiers wove a crown of thorns and put it on his head, and they put a purple robe on him. 3 “Hail! King of the Jews!” they mocked, as they slapped him across the face.

4 Pilate went outside again and said to the people, “I am going to bring him out to you now, but understand clearly that I find him not guilty.” 5 Then Jesus came out wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. And Pilate said, “Look, here is the man!”

6 When they saw him, the leading priests and Temple guards began shouting, “Crucify him! Crucify him!”

“Take him yourselves and crucify him,” Pilate said. “I find him not guilty.”

7 The Jewish leaders replied, “By our law he ought to die because he called himself the Son of God.”

8 When Pilate heard this, he was more frightened than ever. 9 He took Jesus back into the headquarters again and asked him, “Where are you from?” But Jesus gave no answer. 10 “Why don’t you talk to me?” Pilate demanded. “Don’t you realize that I have the power to release you or crucify you?”

11 Then Jesus said, “You would have no power over me at all unless it were given to you from above. So the one who handed me over to you has the greater sin.”

I wish every one of you a blessed Easter. I myself will probably have a simple Easter. I live alone, so I will eat at home alone, most likely, unless my few friends who are not with family and I are able to find a restaurant that is open for Easter during lunch time, which is when we usually go out to eat after church each week. I forget what we did last year.

Being a widow is a tough thing to be on holidays. I was unable to have children, but only had miscarriages, so on holidays I often find myself home alone and sad. Memories flood me, of my husband and our 23 years together before he died. Please pray for me, that I do not get overly depressed, because I sometimes do so on holidays, especially the high holy days like Easter. So far I have done well this weekend, but Easter itself is a true test of my faith. I will be alone with Jesus on this day. And I am a "people person" who is not especially fond of being alone, especially on holidays.

(It is Holy Saturday at 12:04 in the afternoon right now here).
