Here is a link to the passage commonly known as THE SUFFERING SERVANT passage. It described Jesus perfectly, but was written way before His time:

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=IS+53:1-12&version=NIV

This is believed to be a passage describing Jesus and all that He has done for us, but also what He will do for us in the future. It is an amazing passage, seeing as it was written during a time period way before Jesus' day!

... look up The Resolution for Women by Priscilla Shirer...

Have you seen the new movie, starring Priscilla Shirer, "War Room"? It just opened this past weekend.
It's so inspiring! The audience was crying, laughing, cheering, applauding. (I'll try to find a trailer to post here)...

War Room- The Heart of the Movie:

I just ordered 2 books related to the movie: "Fervent: A Woman's Battle Plan to Serious, Specific and Strategic Prayer" by Priscilla Shirer, and "The Battle Plan for Prayer: From Basic Training to Targeted Strategies", by Stephen Kendrick.

With love and joy,
Deer

Totally misread 3turff's post... and am standing in prayer agreement @3turff today. My apologies... my brain blips sometimes.

@deer_in_headlights - no I didn't know that. Our Pastor's wife did a bible study on her material though and she is highly though of (PCA Presbyterian). Thanks for sharing the trailer!

I know that her book though was a "companion" for women to the Christian movie "Courageous" which was geared toward men.

1 Peter 3:12 New Living Translation (NLT)
12 The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right,
and his ears are open to their prayers.
But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil.”

Luke 8:46-50New Living Translation (NLT)
46 But Jesus said, “Someone deliberately touched me, for I felt healing power go out from me.”47 When the woman realized that she could not stay hidden, she began to tremble and fell to her knees in front of him. The whole crowd heard her explain why she had touched him and that she had been immediately healed. 48 “Daughter,” he said to her, “your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”

49 While he was still speaking to her, a messenger arrived from the home of Jairus, the leader of the synagogue. He told him, “Your daughter is dead. There’s no use troubling the Teacher now.”

50 But when Jesus heard what had happened, he said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be healed.”

I had a back ache yesterday, and I asked God to heal it, and He did most of it, it is just a bit stiff still. I will be seeing my chiropractor sometime soon, to handle that stiffness and get some exercises to help with the stiffness. I am so relieved!

Yes, He does. In fact, I want to take a poll, how many of you have heard the voice of God? There is a verse that says "My sheep know my voice." (Or words to that effect). I have been hearing His voice a lot lately, about all kinds of things. I feel so honored and lucky that He speaks to me. I have been thanking Him a lot about that lately!

There is another verse that says He knows our needs and wishes and things like that, even if we don't directly pray to Him about a certain thing. So when blessings come my way, I try to thank Him! I really am so grateful for all He does for me.

Isaiah 6 New Living Translation (NLT)

6 It was in the year King Uzziah died that I saw the Lord. He was sitting on a lofty throne, and the train of his robe filled the Temple. 2 Attending him were mighty seraphim, each having six wings. With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they flew. 3 They were calling out to each other,

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies!
The whole earth is filled with his glory!”

4 Their voices shook the Temple to its foundations, and the entire building was filled with smoke.

5 Then I said, “It’s all over! I am doomed, for I am a sinful man. I have filthy lips, and I live among a people with filthy lips. Yet I have seen the King, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.”

6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal he had taken from the altar with a pair of tongs. 7 He touched my lips with it and said, “See, this coal has touched your lips. Now your guilt is removed, and your sins are forgiven.”

8 Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?”

I said, “Here I am. Send me.”

9 And he said, “Yes, go, and say to this people,

‘Listen carefully, but do not understand.
Watch closely, but learn nothing.’
10 Harden the hearts of these people.
Plug their ears and shut their eyes.
That way, they will not see with their eyes,
nor hear with their ears,
nor understand with their hearts
and turn to me for healing.”

11 Then I said, “Lord, how long will this go on?”

And he replied,

“Until their towns are empty,
their houses are deserted,
and the whole country is a wasteland;
12 until the Lord has sent everyone away,
and the entire land of Israel lies deserted.
13 If even a tenth—a remnant—survive,
it will be invaded again and burned.
But as a terebinth or oak tree leaves a stump when it is cut down,
so Israel’s stump will be a holy seed.”

Job 28:27-28 New Living Translation (NLT)
Then he saw wisdom and evaluated it.
He set it in place and examined it thoroughly.
And this is what he says to all humanity:
‘The fear of the Lord is true wisdom;
to forsake evil is real understanding.’”
