Under Sydney harbour bridge in the Seventies. Nice Police Van

My father had a 56 desoto back in the late 70s and into the early 80s before he finally sold it. I don't have any pics of it.

The ones that go to the beach show also go to others they have around the area on different evenings. Most are in a shopping mall parking lot.

This is the first car I have memories of riding in. It's a 1950 Buick.

My folks had one. We'd all pile in it and go to the Russian river in the summer. Thing was huge, like a tank. Family of 6 no problem. Ours was the same exact color as the one in the picture above, we had it until I was maybe 5. Dad used it a lot to haul a trailer of stuff to the dump, or to tow his cement mixer. Or pull his huge HAM radio antennae up. It was the family beater, a utility car.

Folks had one of these too. A 1955 Buick Special. Also a beast.

This one towed the home made sailboat to lake Berryessa, or camping at Clear Lake. Dad piled camping gear in the trailer, the boat and took us all out camping. Surplus gear. So glad we camped a lot. This car also made early tips to San Franciso, to the museums. If we went to the coast, like all the way to Bodega bay, this is what we'd take.

I will have to find this other pic of a car with suicide doors we had back in the 70s.

And nice car James B. :)
