I've had ptsd for nearly 30 years, i has been the bane of my life. The constant anxiety, being constantly on alert, snapping it the slightest trigger. In March I had an episode of hypertensive encephalopathy, kind of like a stroke , it was a blood pressure issue I was given a clonidine tablet to lower my blood pressure, which it did, but it also chilled my ptsd. Amazing! Nothing I've taken ,except for Xanax, would even touch my ptsd, but clonidine did and did it better than Xanax without putting me to sleep or having to deal with having little memory of what I did last night. I, obviously, can't say this will work for everyone, but I can say clonidine has changed my life. I'm now prescribed clonidine patches, and they have changed my life greatly for the better Hope this may help someone.

Thanks for the info. I have diagnosed MDD, CPTSD, ADHD and OCD. Dexamphetamine has improved my depression and my concentration — wish I had it twenty years ago instead of 4-5 anti-depressants which did not work and all gave me sexual dysfunction. A side effect of the last A.D. was that it fixed my insomnia because I was now sleeping 13 hours every day.

Dexamphetamine raised my blood pressure, so my psychiatrist prescribed Clonidine for my high BP and my OCD but I have not taken it because I was reluctant to take another drug. Based on your recommendation, I'll give it a go.
