Colorful and hopefully optimistic but maybe hateful occasionally

At least that is what I have been told by people who have read it in its original language.
(didn’t want to derail a thread)

That’s because, unlike other religions’ holy books, the Quran is literally the word of G-d, to the point of being a very powerful possession. Since the word of G-d came through Muhammad, G-d spoke Arabic, so to translate the Quran away from Arabic, Yahweh’s words are muddled by a human attempting to re-imagine G-d’s word. :) When it is no longer G-d’s original word, but the writing of a human brain, it is no longer G-d’s voice when read allowed.

It’s all very interesting

Religion is cool

Sorry if you already knew! I thought you’d like it tho

Yeah, Xhosa is one of my absolute favorite languages. It took some time until I could pronounce the clicks, haha. Considering I was living and working there for one year and three months, it is not very surprising that I picked up on this language. I think it is easier when you're learning it where it is spoken! Don't be too hard on yourself, languages can be tricky, and especially Xhosa has a totally different grammer than the western languages ?

I studied linguistics, but I don't pick up languages very easily. :(
Same!! I tried so hard, but there was so much and it wasn’t so difficult D:

Spanish has way too many verbs! lol

Definitely the best way to learn!!

If you feel like it, I’d love to hear about the grammar!

That is very difficult to summarize, haha. I can give you one example, but I doubt I can explain the whole grammar in one post.?It also differs from region to region.
Okay, so, "to drink" means "ukusela" for example. If you want to say "I am drinking beer", you say "Ndiyasela ubhiya". "Ndi" basically stands for the "I", "ya" is something that is needed in front of verbs but has no direct translation, and "ubhiya" means "beer". If you want to say "I am seeing you", you say "Ndiyakubona" - "ku" means "you" in this context. So it basically reads "I you see". ?
