Colorful and hopefully optimistic but maybe hateful occasionally

I am getting my license in three days. Then will get a job. Then will spend two months about attempting to save up for six months of rent. Then will move out.

Might move out before I’m completely financially secure.

I know you are anxious to leave and I don’t blame you one bit, but really try to be financially ready first. That way you don’t end up having to bite the bullet and come back because that absolutely kills any pride and confidence you acquired.

Oof, I impulsively asked a site to hook me up with a realtor. So I guess that's how I'm doing today.

I guess it was sort of impulsive fate, though. He recognized my last name. (Not in a weird way, in a "you went to my kid's school and tutored him in algebra" way. I used to be a math tutor.) He told me he wants to help in any reasonable way he can so he gave me his contact info and told me to ask him all the questions as I get an income, start renting or looking to buy, go mortgage shopping, whatever. He told me he could teach me how to shop around and how to afford things safely. He told me to email him with anything I'm confused about, like if I don't understand what banks are telling me. Dude was super empathetic, so my guess is he's secretly the angel from It's a Wonderful Life. Just kidding though. I'm a bit embarrassed but at least I have someone I can ask opinions from now about whether I should rent or buy. He said he could hook me up with someone who knows the rental market if I go that route. Probably I will.

Now, to actually finish my paper before the deadline instead of moping and doing impulsive things. Instead, I will do the paper, then tomorrow get to work on resumes and cover letters, as well as inquire about medical stuff with my doctors, how to get prescriptions, food stamps, all that jazz.
