Colorful and hopefully optimistic but maybe hateful occasionally

And the military helicopters (the fat cool ones that can store planes) are flying really close to the ground for some reason

That’s only a problem because I love seeing them. And I should be sleeping

(Nice country I live in, where seeing one of those come out of the woods is considered cool and not scary)

bronchitis is bad -- go to doctor???
Oh, sorry, I did! A doctor diagnosed me earlier. Not really certain what to do about it, but I’ll be seeing another one on 9/11 (why did I schedule something for that day again?) and I got a new inhaler and some allergy pills and was told to figure it out.

In good news, the ear infection thing went away on its own, without spreading to anything

Also I’ll check my notifications later, I just came here to say (1) I’m alive (my half-year-over resolution was to stop worrying @somerandomguy ) and (2) I cleaned off the stove and am making a snack that won’t be dangerous to my diabetic mom or to my will-be-diabetic-at-around-age-50-self (the more sugar you expose to your cells, the more they take away insulin receptors to protect themselves from sugar-related damage or infection, so best to cut back on sugars ASAP — trust me, I’m a biologist(TM))

When the weather is nicer outdoors :)

Funny story:

One time in my early years of college, I decided to go hang out at my dad’s apartment (I swear this is funny). This was going to be the same visit where he randomly instructed me on how to break into his unit.

My mom, who is obviously very frightened of this idiot, didn’t want him near her at all. He stalks her and sends her weird texts even today so you can imagine it was worse then. (She could have had really good revenge but unfortunately she was worried about scarring her kids, sort of distorted thinking but she did her best. She wanted her kids to have a dad.)

So, after I confirmed that my dad would be picking me up at my house, I knew I should inform my mother who would like to be out of view, obviously.

So I sent her a text that said, “A. will be picking me up in twenty minutes in the driveway. I’ll tell him no one else is home and keep him from going into the house or sheds” (he’d always try)

Then waited for a while. Then got a reply from my dad that said, “Okay ;)”

Because I’d sent him the text, not my mom

Luckily he didn’t even pretend to act hurt, lol. He just acted like she wasn’t home. Worked out great!

Oh, great news: my twin bro’s wife is finally agreeing to go pre-natal care and untlrasounds, and is even using microwaves.

Not sure who’s words finally convinced her or what experiences, but she did cite that the medical professionals were unable to tell her the cause of her miscarriage because there was no data.

As all my female and one male family members warned.

She claimed she did not have enough information to know it was necessary. Which is strange... it’s the Information Age.

And my first question to her when she told me she was pregnant was, “Do you have books?” You don’t need science to understand books.

I’m very glad she’s taking modern medicine seriously now. It’s good stuff. It’s why our population boomed so weirdly crazily.

Just an fyi.... I've worked in the OB/GYN field and 50% of pregnancies end in miscarriage. Most of the time people don't even know their pregnant yet. Hoping she takes care of herself.
I’ll let her know that, that will probably really help her

I think someone on here told me that many pregnancies in the first month go without any known reason? So I’m hoping she has more luck with her second one

Thank you :)

Hey, great news:

I located the bad smell that caused the Very Bad reactions

Bad news: looks like Slinky (the cat) was right about it being the blanket. But for an unexpected reason

It was Nestle

She rolled in something

And I guess I’m so used to bad smells being Anything Else that I didn’t think to sniff her.

Will be re-washing my comforter and one pillow case, a blanket, and her personal bedding. Also I will be washing my Nestle. Luckily I just cleaned out the bathroom because I built a cabinet and decided to put it in there for now :)

Found this out after cleaning my bird’s cage. It did stink though. Forgot she was having bloody diarrhea last time she lived in it, I’ve had her in a heal-cage for the past two months so I’d forgotten about the big cage. My mom doesn’t really clean it while I’m away either, so it was... well, my bird got sick, that’s all that needs to be said.

Nudge’s (the snake’s) cage is supposed to be cleaned daily, but my mother wasn’t physically able to so I didn’t tell her about it. He’s in great health though, fed him yesterday and he was very happy about that
