Yes but it’s really hard to talk about. It happens to me.
Were you forced to drink alcohol during your abuse?
Good day for you! :hug:Good night
I'm not sure why people feel like they should pressure other people to drink. I get it too. I don't get anxious, I just don't like the smell or taste of alcohol. And - my x was an alcoholic so the smell of alcohol reminds me of him, so yech. But no one should be calling you a wimp for that. Drinking isn't a sign of strength or whatever, lol.Last time I said I suspected it made me anxious, I got called a wimp.
It's a complex mix of denial, and anxiety -fear of people, and fear of messing something up, and fear of making the wrong choice. It's really uncomfortable. Literally the whole 3 years, I have been stressing about it. Took it in recently because of a leak, and was told oh no because you haven't been taking care of it, it'll cost 700$ to fix. So I bought some stuff on the internet to put in and make the leak stop. And now - I'm afraid to take it somewhere else for the oil change because they'll find out I put stuff in, instead of paying someone 700$ to take the car apart and change the seal. ? But at least the leak stopped. ??This was really helpful to read, by the way. Do you think it’s anxiety?
How's she doing?Nestle had an accident (tripped?) and needs emergency care in the morning. She broke a nail but it’s right by the quick and she says it hurts. I don’t have the tools to help. If I did I would trust myself pretty well with some supervision
This. I don't have a TBI, but I was basically concussed for about a year, and the affect alcohol had on me was insane. I'd either have a drink and get crazy anxious, or I'd pass out after one shot or whatever. Like alcohol + head injuries is a bad combo. Always. And it's also unpredictable what "bad combo" means. Don't feel pressured to drink anyway, like when people care if you're drinking or not, it's more an issue of whether you'll notice how much they're drinking, or not. Stay safe :hug:The alcohol thing could also be because of your head injury
