Great news! I’ll say the weirder one first:

I just realized that I could have a brown recluse as a pet at any time!! I reached for Rid-X in the cabinet and saw a lil dude scurry away. So I wouldn’t need to spend a nickel! I probably even have everything I need for a terrarium! If name him or her Shy Guy, like the Mario enemy :P

Brown recluses make great pets. People think you’re badass for having a scary spider but in reality he’s so shy that if he thinks you’re looking at him he’ll either cover his face or run lol

Not a great pet if you have a curious child who might try to hold him, tho. They aren’t aggressive at all but if they get frightened that might hurt. (Their bites aren’t usually the worst but it’s not really worth risking a child. Or a cat paw.)

Better news, though, I got invited for a job interview already! At my favorite library in the Nashville area! Which also means I need to make sure I do learn Interstates or else I’ll be wasting all the gas.

It’s only a part time job and is more me subbing for ladies on maternity leave, but I think it’s a good way to get better positions or at least provide a little income until I have cool options!

My professors seem willing to be references for me to get a scientist job nearby as well! So that is lovely! I’ll keep searching there too. That will take me a while longer but that’s okay

Same!!!!! A tunnel web spider named Scary and two jumping spiders (one had green and one had orange!) named Scary (I was great at names) and Green Guy, and two tarantulas! I think a Chilean rose and .... I really can’t remember the other species, but she was a lil smaller and her bites would have potentially felt like a bee sting. I was never bitten :P

Spiders make such fun pets!!!

To be honest I’m not really sure. I would maybe err on the side of caution and email that you are bringing her. Like not a question but just a heads up? But then maybe it would be fine to just show up.

Emailing first sounds like a pretty good idea. They're not supposed to disqualify you for having a service animal, but it happens all the time. It'd be better just to get that information out of the way and see what happens.
