Yes. And good job calling the police to ask them about that. Wise of you—no need to get pulled into that karmic shit.Probably better to just call cops of necessary though
Creditors can't go after family members so double check but this shouldn't be a thing. The only way the bills can be paid is out of the estate, and if there is no estate they just let them go. Bills don't pass to family members just because they are family or because they lived there.not sure how im going to pay my mom's bills. pretty sure I can't use her money from disability or ssi even though she got it on the 3rd, and died on the 4th.
was gonna say something else but I forgot![]()
Yes. Call 911 ASAP. Like the minute you see him. Especially since you've already had it put into the premise history that you are afraid he will show up. Dont talk to him, don't open the door, don't even acknowledge him. Do.not.delay calling. Remember, they still have to drive there which might take some time. Get on the phone with dispatch and keep the line open. If it turns out to be nothing that's fine - better safe than sorry. He said he has a right to "break down the door and break in" at any time since my mother died (he doesn't) and to expect him. I called the police to "make sure it was legal" (it's not) (but ofc the dispatcher couldn't say that bc laws) (but now they know to listen for his mayhem at least) (and/or if I get murdered he'll be the easiest suspect ever, even if they can't arrest him again)
