Thanks @vikingr24, the psychologist I’m seeing currently seems to be pretty good but I have not met with a psychiatrist since I moved in August.. they just keep screwing me around and “don’t know why nobody ever called”. I have actually taken myself off all medications except for the migraine meds (been blown up a couple times and had my noggin rattled a little lol). I have been trying to lean on prescriptions a little less and putting my money on natural substance ( which had been the best so far because it allows to think and process information in a calm manner without going in to fight mode over everything)which I have discontinued due to my NEED to work.

I just want to thank you all who have responded to my most as I almost had myself convinced no one would.

If you are into the natural stuff have you looked at cbd oil? It took me about a month to get the dosage right but it has gotten my usage of pain pills an xanex way down.lll

We used CBD oil on our dog who was in pain. It relaxed him quite a bit. Great stuff. There are different degrees of strength and it doesn't contain THC or hardly any of it. I tried a bit myself to see the effects of it. I could take it or leave. I didn't really notice anything different and that was on the strongest one I purchased from FlowerChildCBD.com . Their product is organically grown.

Yep, my guy was addicted to his pain meds too, for a good 15 years And the VA didn't seem to mind. Just kept throwing more crap at him. Sadly he didn't reach out for help sooner.

He was in a really dark place about 6 years ago and called the veterans crisis line. He's been working the program since the day after he made that call. He stopped most of his meds cold turkey too. Took about 8 months to get through that. Now he's on an antipsychotic (he calls it his PTSD medicine), prazosin for nightmares and smokes a little mj.

I'm so glad you're reaching out for support! J waited till he was 45 yo. Treated PTSD can be hell sometimes. Untreated PTSD ruins relationships and takes lives.

This little tidbit will come in handy. The PTSD stress cup. Nice to meet you and good luck on your journey!!

Thanks for the link @Congruency ill check them out!

@leehalf unfortunately there are doctors in the VA system who just shove pills down our throats and hope we stop “complaining”! I was on prazosin for about a year for nightmares that I’m not even sure I have because when I wake up in the morning I have no recollection of what or if I had a dream/nightmare. Really odd lol but I can’t remember the last time I had I dream I could remember the next day so I stopped taking it and notice no difference. I am glad your friend found help! I have lost a few friends due to their invisible wounds and it sucks 100%.
