Even when I manage to sleep. Even when I am on vacation. I cannot stop yawning. I am constantly tired all the time.

Does anyone else have this? How do you deal with it?

I find even after napping I am still tired. I seem to live my whole life being tired.

Hi

I feel like I live my life on automatic pilot the majority of the time, wake up tired. Yawning is a pain I have lost count of the amounts of times I get told to behave at work!!!

Its possible that medication can cause this to happen, sure its part of my problem.

Take care

Yawning sounds like you aren't getting enough oxygen. I know when I'm in a stuffy room, I start to yawn. Beyond the fact that trauma is exhausting, as are the symptoms, for some reason, your problem to me seems like it might be physical. Do you stretch your lungs? Stretching your lungs through physical exercise is really helpful to develop deeper breathing. Yoga is especially good, because half the focus is on the physical stretches, and the other half is on controlled, deep breathing. Are you breathing too shallowly? Maybe your posture is worsening your tiredness. When we slouch, we limit our oxygen intake. Most people breathe shallowly, and this takes years off life. I started out by just reminding myself to breathe slowly and deeply throughout the day, down into my belly. That helped me. I hope you figure out your tiredness, though. I suffer from fairly constant fatigue. It is because of a life filled with trauma. For me, right now, I see my fatigue as my body's way of saying, 'I need a break'. I'm giving in to its call.

If you've had chronic stress, your adrenal glands might not be functioning correctly...it's called adrenal fatigue. If you look it up, there are lots of natural things you can try like certain herbs and other supplements that might help. Might be worth a try. :)

I did and realized my life was too stimulating and exhausting. I was sleeping okay thanks to melatonin and hormone replacement but was still yawning. Turns out my best friend was draining me because she is too much like my dad and I had no idea. I've cut back on my contact with her and i am not yawning so much anymore.

My point is to play detective. Your body is trying to tell you something and what you find may surprise you.

At seems that sleeping and napping has become one of my biggest escape and coping mechanisms. I'm sure there's a lot more to it than that, meds, depression, or any number of things.

Now if I could just sleep and nap at the proper times everything would be fine. ;)

But I've realized that I do use sleep and napping as an escape.
