I find myself back here after over a year away. The Forum looks different than it did back then, but the stuff we are all going through day to day looks about the same.

I had a reasonably good year, but find myself struggling the last week or so. Holing up in total isolation, drinking again, and generally trying to figure out what went wrong. The good thing is that I really believe now, that it won't last forever.

It's good to see the faces still here from a year ago, and will be nice to get to know some new people. I've joined the Combat PTSD Forum, which I don't believe was here a year ago. It's not nearly as active as this one yet, so I'll be in both places for now.

So far, it feels good to be back.

Hi Pat....welcome back I too have been struggling for the last week and a half doing exactly the same. You are not definitely not alone :)

Welcome back partick.

A lot of changes to the forum as well as faces, but the support is still as it was.

The bad times won't last forever, you have the knowledge from before, and being back here will give you the confidence and strength to get back to where you want to be.

Take care and keep going.

Hi Pat,
welcome back to the forum. I myself have found the support here overwhelming. I'm going to join the Combat PTSD forum too, but like you say this one does seem more active, though I think it would be helpful with other like minded people as I too am suffering combat PTSD.
Take care buddy, Sean

I'm glad you've had a good year, Patrick. You're right, this rough patch won't less. Drink less, and don't let the reflection bog you down too much.
