Boy your dad has had a rough time over this year. Let's hope next year is a better year!
The only problem with not raising a stink is you don't always get heard. I hate that. Why should I act like a spoiled adult just to get my point across.
When my dad was in the hospital, I called and asked for his nurse. I explained who I was calling for. She told me that he took a turn for the worse and they were working on him right now. I rushed there in tears, from work mind you. When I got there he was fine, recovering but fine. Turned out he didn't take a turn for the worse. When I asked the nurse about it she denied it even happened. Said she couldn't imagine who I talked to. I knew it was her from her voice. Apparently, when my dad found out what they said to me he was upset. He never said anything to me about it. Just thought I'd share my story.
I try to have my person checked out yearly. Sometimes I forget. I had a lot of sun exposure when I was little and a lot of burns because I couldn't use sunscreen then. Stung my face. Thankfully they have sunscreens out there that don't do that anymore. Good, good, advice.
Humor is good. It's got me through many scary medical procedures. :)
