Poll Did You Ever Report Physical Abuse?

Was abused, reported nothing. Not even a civil suit once statue of limitations was up with urging of my therapist. Or at least he wanted me to. Didn't really urge me to as he lets me make up my own mind and make my own decisions.

And why? Because she was my mom. Doesn't matter what she did. She was still my mom.

Can't explain that. That is all I can say really. Only explaination I have.

Yes to the first two because both was not an option. One thing no one could say about me was that I was a liar. Even when my parents were hauled into school. Unfortunately, domestically the cops here could have cared less even after a coworker was shot dead and bled out in front of her kids and her husband turned it on himself. Murder suicide and 4 orphans with corpses on the floor. I was gonzo for three days after that. Not exactly sure how I even kept my job as we'd been tellin' her she needed to get to safety but she wouldn't cuz of the kids.

Sharon was my pivotal point... cuz of her I never tried again to go back or reconcile with my ex. No shelter, nothin' but a network of other women in the community dealing with domestic violence/abuse.

in elementary school, changing for gym class, my friends noticed lacerations all over my back. At recess they asked me about them again, and I finally told them I had been beaten with a metal spatula until I was hit so hard that it broke in two. We had all been taught that teachers are supposed to help with these types of things, so my friends got our teacher and I told her what had happened... she did nothing, and told no one... just like the rest of our family, family friends, neighbors... everyone knew, no one ever did anything. I never told an adult again, just made up stories about falling down a lot.
