The first one has great info about the disassociate effects of Complex PTSD, which is something that we're dealing with over here. It's making my life really hard, frankly, and this article gave me some great insight into what is going on.
My wife is great, but she really does have these ANP (Apparently Normal Parts of the personality) that crop up and make things seem fine, but only are OK, as long as the stressful things are not being talked about or addressed at all. It's like there's only so much that she can cope with and then she totally shuts down. Makes it hard to cope with things a lot of the time. Combined with all the trust issues, it means that there's nothing that I can do to help, and even if there was, she wouldn't tell me, because she doesn't believe that anyone really wants to help her, not even me. My heart is breaking, and this is all so incredibly hard to cope with.
I'm on disability, and I don't have the energy these days to hold things together the way I used to so it's harder from that standpoint too.
Anyhow, just wanted to post, say hi, and let you know about those links. I know that one of the ways I cope is research, so maybe there's someone else out there who could use them too. :)
