before I was given klonopin I was given some heart medications, the idea being that adrenaline was causing the screaming and reduced blood pressure and such would keep the reaction in check- it worked a little, we moved on to klonopin pretty quickly, i don't remember the name of the drugs.
After looking back at my earlier post, I see that it reads like a commercial for benzo's. Not at all, benzo's like klonopin are serious stuff and if you can find a drug less harmful that works, by all means try them first. Don't go telling your doctor you want klonopin because a guy on line said it was the best, it isn't. It works for me but I wish there was a lighter drug that did the trick.
