Do you decorate for halloween? looking for ideas

I love, love,love Halloween! We decorate the apartment with witches and pumpkins and haunted houses that light up.

This is the first place I've lived where landlord said yes to decorating outside. I totally went overboard but neighbors love it. I have scare crows I turned into witches. A scary skeleton hanging from the balcony, bats from the tree. A cat whose eyes glow in the dark, pumpkins. Just found a bag of bones.....so much fun!!!

I'm not looking to pick a fight but @EveHarrington she also said looking for ideas....I think it makes it clear what Rain was looking for

using different drill bits to take out circles in various sizes

That's a better idea than using sharp knives! :hilarious: I'm doin it your way this year :D

Maybe I will go for a fresh pumpkin this year as well. I am missing a lot of my Halloween decorations and I do not know where they went.:( I will have to pick up some more.:happy:

My favorite decoration is a light up pumpkin with those glowy lights from a craft store. Also, some stores have some cheap three dimentional paintable card board Halloween decorations. You can paint clay flower pots into jack-o-lanterns. Outside I stuffed tights with newspaper, dressed it in jeans and added tennis shoes, had the legs/feet coming out from under a bush. You can buy light bulbs in all kinds of different colors. I have fake fall leaves on the mantle and Indian corn. Lots of projects at craft stores. My kids would put together three dimensional foam cities.

Ok, so get this. A friend of mine since the early eighties is a Halloween fanatic. His basement is decorated all year. His St. Patrick's party was Halloween meet's St. paddy. He has everything. From zombie babies in nasty highchairs to bloody handprints down the staircase. (he's divorced now) lol

We have a local street dedicated to Halloween. Google Tilson street. Rochester Michigan.

BTW I need a good costume for K.C.'s party this year....

I now have five decorations out. What happened to all of my Halloween decorations, they are just gone! I will hang up my crystal beaded spiderweb today with large black spider and the ghostly sumperimposed human pictures that turn into skeletons that were the last Halloween decorations that me and my husband had bought together. Maybe even hang the purple lights around the front window.:laugh::p:D:cool:

I don't decorate too much for Halloween, but I like to decorate for fall. Love mums and the nice thing is when I take them out of the container they are there for next year. A bale of straw and a lot of gourds and different kinds of squash. I don't let the squash go too long because it eventually ends up in a recipe. :) I like to collect things from outdoors like fall flowers, berries, colorful leaves and nuts. It is a matter of drying and pressing so they last a while. Even some simple things like inexpensive paper napkins or desert places can add a nice touch.
