No, not under the pillow, but near by.

But, its not a big gun. Just something for in the house at close range. I really don't want anything to exit my house in case I miss.

I keep the knife that I was stabbed with in my drafting table under the pencils. Always. I took it away from him and sent him on his merry way.

I have one that is normally locked away and safe near my bed (but only takes a few seconds to open due to fingerprint locks, sometimes technology is really cool). And a bat that I've had since I played softball in high school (IDK why I keep it with the gun but it's like its own little safety net). When I sleep alone I have a knife too, but if I'm at my carer's place he has a shotgun and I tend to stay unarmed there since I don't want to ever hurt him if/when I disociate.

During the day he teases me because as he know it's never a question of if, but always what/ how many/ and where (considering I had to use a metal spoon at one point against a much larger bully in school I could make most things dangerous lol).

Think it has to do with growing up with 2 uncles for Marines, a Navy SEAL for a cousin, and a few others in different military branches they always made sure I knew how to defend myself (I'm 5' and 100lbs it could be/has been easy for some to take advantage of my size). Though looking back it's probably a tad messed up to be teaching a 10 year old military tactics/attacks but that just adds to my list of oddities I suppose.

I voted yes but the pistol isnt under my pillow i pulled my mattress a little bit away from the wall and have the weapon sitting on the boxspring, I dont carry the smith with me when i go out but i do carry two knives.

Not under the pillow but within easy reach.

And wanted to prove I could answer the question without saying how much I hate or do not approve of guns, knives, bats, forks, mad dogs.....or people that do use/like them.......or chose to not defend themselves or others, and base decisons on "proven fact" that only the anti-gun media can make up.

Under a pillow? Absolutely not! A 12 gauge pump within arms reach? Yes. I was raised around firearms and grew up in a military and law enforcement family. I used my hunting shotgun as a teenager to hold down the fort when my dad was on deployments. I served in the military and now carry a firearm for a living. I am armed 90% of the time. Remember, when seconds count the police are only 4-7 minutes away :)

No gun, a lock checker. Because part of my suicidal ideation (sp?) is random thoughts about blowing my head off. So I can get to it, but it is a 4 step process. If I don't have the right thoughts I can stop the process and I don't go to the camp. Have three dogs, and the youngest parks his nose at the front door, the oldest stays by my side. The basset hound is only good for tripping over, but I love her anyways.

I had a gun wherever I go. Bedside, on me, everywhere. Even taught my kid how to use it in case anything ever happened. Recently I stopped using a gun because I have been scared I will shoot someone by accident. It is not a preventative measure for me anymore. I am a danger with a weapon.
