I never eat sweets, since it is a stressor for me. I watched my family drink cola and eat chocolate and they ended up diabetic. However, I love breads, pastas, etc. I am trying to learn now to prepare foods in a more healthy way and eat more healthy. I do LOVE to cook. I can spend hours in the kitchen slicing and dicing. It seems to soothe me in some way. Is that weir?:confused:

Not weird at all, I find it soothing to cook and try new things in the kitchen. Of course I have to be the only one in the kitchen, I don't want too many cooks in there.
 
no not weird at all, i think anything that can keep our thoughts occupied is great. I love baking cakes, being creative helps my self esteem. I'm making my daughters wedding cake this week.
 
I'm not a stress eater. Sometimes I don't eat the right foods. Need to eat more proteins.

Love my chocolate though. And give me a turkey sandwich with all that tryptophan - ah, relaxing. Or a 25 ride on my stationary cycle will do the same thing. ;)
 
The opposite. I normally love good food and love to cook. I couldnt cook at all for a while (injury) and now I can a little, I cook but I cant eat it. I normally love lots of vegies and fruits etc. I ate very little meat. Now ALL I eat is one piece of meat and cant swallow anything that resembles something I used to love. I gag on it.
 
ABSOLUTELY!!

YUM YUM But...I have to be very careful...I'm a well round eating disorder person, binger, bulimic, and anorexic so what I do is keep 'trigger foods' out of the house. I do have my favorite Stoufers Mac & Cheese (no longer the family size, thank you very much!) for after every therapy session. The family size hurt too much afterwards :speechless:. I'm also a serious serious chip and fresh hot salsa connoisseur :p.

I'm not much into sweets because of the mood swings that happen with those and when I start with it seems I have to keep having something sweet every single day, it's really weird. So I try to stay away but when I want it ...I WANT IT ;)
 
Strangely no I have gone off eating since the PTSD. The reason I say strangely I use to be a real comfort eater but not anymore.
