Mayday

I just came across this and think the young man and his father are being so brave to make this documentary. They were both abused as children by family members. The kickstarter campaign has almost reached it's goal, which is fantastic. I don't have much money, but will be making a small contribution.

Here's the link to the story and short video explaining it:

Thank you so much for sharing this!
It's very inspiring to see Sasha and his family stand up against child abuse and all of the taboos and ignorance surrounding it. If people learn the truth and learn to understand that sexual abuse actually happens, not just in the movies and that it can even happen among people you know, people in your own family.. There would be so much more support for the victims.

And, like Sasha's dad already implied, when a victim is taken seriously and supported, it is so much easier to catch the perpetrators and put them away before they can hurt anyone else.

He is doing an amazing thing and I already have an enormous amount of respect for him. I'm not sure if I can manage a monetary contribution, but I will most definitely share and support this initiative. I want to be part of his army and help him fight back!

Though I do not have the funds to support his documentary, I thought I could support him with words - So I did.

I even got a very kind reply from the team. Yes it was a little standardised, but it was clear that one of them had read my message. Meant a lot to me :)
