Does Anyone Have A Garden?

I'm not a natural gardener but I've been trying to develop a wildflower garden in mine. I've got a cherry tree, honeysuckle, clematis, a holly shrub which is about big enough to be called a tree now. I've got a pond full of frogs and with marsh marigold and yellow flag iris beside it. Come spring I'll have a few bluebells, lots of primroses, some aged daffodils, rhubarb, then as the season goes on the teasel will come, along with wild strawberries, my redcurrant shrub (which the birds get), and more.
I've neglected it the last few years, what with things. I'm hoping to find the time to get it back in some kind of order this year.

I am so inspired by all of you! At the moment it is winter, so I am only growing dust bunnies.

Ohio in January... I just have snow in my garden :(. When it gets warmer we have sweet corn, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, and green beans (if I can keep the freakin' Japanese Beetles out of them). I've given up on lettuce because we have some kind of hybrid ninja/bunnies that get at it no matter what kind of fencing I put up :ninja:. There are also some blueberry bushes, a grape arbor, and a strawberry patch.

When my husband and I lived on our little farm we had such a great garden of vegatables and I would spend the summer canning and freezing as much as I could. When we moved to the mountains we could only grow flowers, not enough sun for a food garden. We landscaped our entire yard and I miss the place dearly because I had flowers all summer long.

When my husband got sick we had to move down off the mountain and darn if he did not grow another garden of fresh green beans and radishes and chives.

I miss working with the plants, it was so healing for me and for him. We had so many different kinds of plants and trees. I miss it very much.

My family and I are in the process of looking for another place to live and I hope to be gardening again. Great thread, I enjoyed this very much.

It's winter so no garden. However, last year I called off gardening and just let the weeds have at it. I don't know if I will garden this year. It will be a lot of work and it doesn't grow very well. I'm not very good at it. I have six gardening boxes across my property. Should fill it with something other then weeds.

I have a garden not sure what I did wrong but I think my broccoli is sprouting very late. Not so sure Ill get any to eat. Spring planting will happen in the next few weeks.
