Nah, I love mythology and ancient history. The only problem is that ancient history is just an interpretation. Most written history was by the church or how they saw it.

Sometimes I think we over think these things. Wagon is waxing due to lack of over processed American cheese.(not real cheese its made from oil )
As far as demons and such... named or not or in the past or not it helps me very little.
The bible speaks of PTSD so I buy into the whole idea of it being part of the past. Why not? In history there were no guns...swords and arrows...get in the face and see the death face to face all day. Yeah I bet they had it.

Well, as the one guilty of getting it started on this board, I should fess up on how I got to calling it that. Years, back it was very rare to come across a website where guys like us could vent, help, ect. Well, I bounced around from site to site (got thrown off a few) and found one that was promising. We set up our own PTSD part of the forum and motored on. First the women started bitching about the cussing, then another thing and another.

Finally, A Vet named Dan said he would set up his own website and away we went. But there were only about four of us that posted every day. Dan coined the term beast and we all started using it. Things just kinda faded and the website folded. Been calling it the beast ever since.

It fit like glove for me as when I was a kid I read and collected comic books and for a short time they published one called the Beast. Dude was eight foot tall, blood red, teeth like a Pirana and claws six inches long. Fits my PTSD personification perfectly.

The funny thing is how it has rubbed off to Vet groups and websites, ect.

But call it any thing you want, it's still no fun.
