Thanks FN (still can't call you the other name as just feels wrong!)
I shall be interested to hear from Anthony too.
What I do know is that there are a lot of "coaches" and other practitioners that are not properly regulated, supervised or qualified who use such things as NLP, hypnotherapy and other skills and can cause enormous damage. I hate too how often there seems to be a manipulative and money grabbing aspect to the whole thing.
Its sad to hear mindfulness is starting to be used by such people instead of the the clinical way it was being utilised. :cautious:
Thought I would post a more scientific link of research that apparently used DBT skills including mindfulness and "wise mind" which as Anthony said are all a recognised treatment for BPD (DBT). Eye of Horus
And this one less so but still informative.
Think I have posted enough now!
Wow, I knew there's some woo psychotherapy out there but I didn't know there's so much going on with tech speak.
What would a list of 'safe terms' consist of? That is, like the terms you use to outline the 'wise mind' concept. I'd find that helpful
.
