I've been waiting all summer for my kiddos to go back to school so that T and I could pick back up EMDR as part of our sessions.

FINALLY the day came and we dove in this week. EMDR always seems to hurt like a son of a bitch!!! But once I get past the first 12-24hr afterwards? I feel like a whole new person :tup: My body is freakishly calm, I don't ache, my mind is clear and free from crazy ass stuff, it's fantastic!

Like a transfusion of happiness :)

That is what happened to me as well. Total life change for the better. I am very happy for you.

@Muse

This was my first session in months. Because it messes with my sensory issues(I have a SPD) my T and I alternate weeks and had to take a break over the summer months while my kids were out of school. I'm pretty iffy for about 12-24hrs and very unpredictable, I guess you could say? To keep everyone safe, I have to come home to no kids. And my husband is off work by the time they get out of school.

Anyways, the good feeling last about 3-4 days. It gets longer if I were to do the EMDR more regularly, which we hope to do now. It certainly clears my head of the crazy freight train and relieves my sensory issues. Long term, it's our hope that it'll last much longer.

I think once we reach a breaking point, next February. We can keep using the EMDR to sort of brush up on issues that arise over time.
