Fear Of Rain

I view the rain as new growth. We need rain or everything dies. Without rain, there is nothing. No flowers, no beautiful birds, no glorious colors on the trees in fall. Without rain, there is death.

Even though you were taught to believe that rain would make you ill, it won't. Without it we die. I hope that someday you will be able to view the rain as healthy..

Yesterday, I was out in the rain for hours: The forecast was for light rain, but it was as heavy as rain that causes flooding. I got soaked, and it was cold, and I was tired when I got home.

When I got home, I put the heater on, and made a hot bath for myself. I stayed in the bath until I felt warm and bored, and then I stayed inside.

Today, my body feels fine. I have a few PTSD symptoms still, but I'm not sick. Your mother meant well (I assume), but she overreacted.

I'm sure she didn't mean to lie. It used to be that's what people thought. My mom still tells me not to go outside with a wet head I'll get sick. Etc. We just know better now.

I agree, Missy.

Well, well. I got a note from my son's 1:1 aide. She wrote: "*** had an AWESOME time. By far he was the BEST student in the group."

So much for worrying myself silly all day. Grrr....
