Feel More Anxious After Therapy?

I have this same thing happen and often it's because of dissociation in session. I will leave and be "...
I have never emailed her before, so I don't know if she'd be open to that. But I can certainly ask! I'm wondering if I'm dissociating and not even realizing it? Because sometimes I just feel absolutely frozen and like I can't say anything...but that might just be anxiety.

And I TOTALLY get what you're saying about what you say in the room is not indicative of how you're actually doing. Because I also have trouble telling her how bad things really are.

I didn't see the other responses, so forgive me if this is a repeat, but I think this is a totally normal response to bringing up anxiety-provoking things in therapy. Before therapy, they're more on the backburner. After talking about them, it brings them to the forefront of your mind. Distraction and breathing are my best techniques. Go feed some ducks, go running, watch an engaging movie. And breathe deep.
