Can you ask her? Have you tried non dominant hand writing?

Mine needs to feel safe, first and foremost. If she doesn’t feel safe, she’s not coming out!

My core adult self let her down in a big way by not protecting her so right now she’s a bit gun-shy.

Whoa...

Why do you hate your inner child?

Oh wait, it’s a protector who hates your inner child. Can you talk to this protector and see what it needs?

ahhh -- yea bout that. I think we both know I'm the last person who can help with this --- Seeing how I hate the screamer and all.
But if your figure it out first let me know
Sorry.....:hug::hug:

Whoa...

Why do you hate your inner child?

Oh wait, it’s a protector who hates your inner chil...

I’m thinking instead of directing anger towards my parents I’m directing it towards my inner child. The complainer-she should be happy she was loved. Therefore, I think my inner child is overwhelmed with feelings and I’m ignoring her and them.

She wants to feel loved and special. My therapist can’t do this and I hate her too much to
What would being loved and feeling special look like to you? How would she know that she is loved and special? Do you have an idea of why you “hate” (strong word there) her?

Based on that alone, my first thoughts are reassurance and self-compassion... Can your therapist help you with that?

Sounds about right.

I don’t have an inner child who does anything I don’t like. She’s just young, scared, and in pain.

I’m not sure how to handle things when there is animosity toward the inner child.
