My bf went into inpatient treatment for combat PTSD and I'm handling all of his affairs during his stay. I'm happy that he trusts me enough to hold this responsibility, but it gets overwhelming.
I am caring for his dog, Posie, overseeing renovations to his house, and some other things. I only talk to him once a day and most of the conversation is about Posie, house renovations, or his experiences in the hospital
I get agitated because my bf doesn't show any appreciation for what I'm doing. Albeit not for the gratification, a "thank you" or "I appreciate you" would go a long way.
I'm not bringing this up to him because he needs to focus on his health so I'll just vent here and hope he does appreciate me

You come sit by me honey. My partner is medically retired with combat PTSD. We live together. I work fulltime. I handle all the joint finances and quite a bit of his personal bills, paperwork, admin. as well. I do 95% of all housework. When I get home from work I help him out with the farm chores. Do I get one word of thanks? Mmm... maybe once in a blue moon.

I feel badly for you. It sounds like you're making a huge effort to help him. Please do vent anytime you need to.
