Welcome to the site. Anthony (this sites owner) also runs a sister site for veterans who served in a war zone and have ptsd. Combat PTSD Forum <--- Link.

As you know, you have to have been there to understand.

The site has a lot of good peeps. It' usually very supportive, often funny, and easily sidetracked offtopic, but a very nice place to learn and share.

I use both this and the other site, depending on aplicability of what I'm writing about.

Hello to all. I'm a 32 year old combat veteran. Served one tour in Iraq and one in Afghan. as a truck driver. Having a really hard time dealing with everything. Diagnosed about a year ago but I've known something wasnt right for about 5 years.
when you were in afgan ,was it hard to sleep ?i know it sounds like a dum question..i was wondering..sleep deprivation sucks,it can really make your body age fast..i drive trucks as a longshore worker,i found that listening to meditation music helps a lot..i feel dead .do you ever feel that way?like your flesh body is alive but your soul and spirt left your body?i hope you feel better ..i am thankful for your service

What's up...I'm new here and combat vet with PTSD as well, this site and the combat PTSD site both are very informational and supportive it seems like...if you ever want to vent or anything let me know
