Sufferer Finally Diagnosed, 20 Years After Childhood Abuse!

Hi, so here's a brief story of me so far...

From younger than I can remember (3/4) I was groomed and sexually abused by my father until 13 when I hit puberty, got embarrassed and said no.

At 28, I realised the effect this was having on my life - relationships/sexuality, eating disorder, stress/depression, anxiety and OCD.

After 4 long years of ups and downs, different counselling/therapy, seeing one professional to another, I finally got a psychiatric appointment :) After 1 hour, he has diagnosed me with PTSD, Depression and OCD (I think it may become Complex PTSD and possibly some Dissociative Disorder but there's only so much you can say in an hour)

Anyway, that has led me to here, to find advice on self help and to find people to talk to who have been in my situation...I can talk to professionals til the cows come home and with no great long-lasting effect, but I have always had the urge to try group therapy...

So, that is me, and here I am :)

If you don't mind me asking, what has been the best/most successful thing for PTSD for you? (i.e. meds, 1-to-1 therapy, group therapy, chat, forums, reading.....)
