Sufferer First Responder Ptsd

Are there any First Responders on here with clinically diagnosed PTSD?

I'm a former cop, firefighter, and current EMT. Been serving for 10 years. I was diagnosed a year ago, and have been trying to deal with it since. Nightmares, night sweats, visions, and anxiety are still all there even with the meds lol.

I was a civilian first responder at the age of twenty, I was diagnosed six months ago and I am also struggling with the memories, reliving the event at night through dreams and waking up in terror like it just happened, my trauma was 30 years ago. I am on meds also, it's the anxiety that effects me the most.

I was an EMT, diagnosed 11 years ago. Your definitely not alone.

I hope your diagnosis hasn't left you stuck riding a desk. Unless you want to.
