Flashbacks In Dreams?

Has anybody else out there had flashbacks in dreams? Last Thursday I went to sleep during my break from work and I had a nightmare that involved a kid from work and I had a flashback to the trauma from what was happening in the dream. I could literally feel my body being restricted and I was conscious of the fact that I was trying to force myself awake. The flashback was of my whole body being restricted of movement by the rapist. Can someone tell me if this is something I should worry about?

Yes, a few folk have posted about this in the past, especially in their dreams!

I sometimes get mine during the day, anything can set them off, a sound, a smell or a vision, can send me right back into what I call my living nightmare.

I wrote a poem about it, its in here somewhere, it's called PTSD.

Traumatic memories often first appear in dream form. This means your brain is trying to process the memory.

This is not anything to worry about. It is, however, prime material for discussion in therapy.
