A hobby of mine. Whenever I get stressed I pull it apart.
My RIG:
Case - Corsair 780 T
Motherboard - Maximus VII Formula
CPU - i7 4790K -
RAM 16 GB G.Skill Trident X F3-2400
GPU - ASUS GTX 770
2 x Kingston Hyper X SSD in Raid 0
1 x 500 GB Veloceraptor
EK Custom Cooling Loop
2 x 27" Monitors
I have it Overclocked to 4.8 GHz, but I was waiting for winter where the temp drops to go for a record.
Sorry for the pic
No worries, I build 'em to chill out too.
Here is mine:
core i5 4690K Devils Canyon OCed to 4.3G stable with Corsair i50 H2O
16gig GSkill DDR3 w/ tweaked timings
2 ea Zotac 970GTX OCed all to hell (pulls 150 FPS avg 210 FPS peak on UniEngine Valley Ultra HD setting) with a custom H2O system I made Also hacked the firmware to bypass the 3.5 limit to get the full 4Gig)
750W Corsair PSU
2 each WD Blue 1TB 6g version@ 7200 rpm (10ks are a waste of money I've found)
1 Samsung 840 EVO @120G
MSI Z97 Gaming 7 mobo
Dual 29" class Gateway 1080p monitors and a 32 inch class Off Brand HDTV (I watch netflix while I game and study)
Corsair M65 RGB laser mouse
Corsair Vengance K95 North American Layout w/ Cherry MX
Running Win7 x64 off the Samsung
Got it all crammed into a shitty AZZA CZAS 206s while I finish the custom case I am scratch building. It is so awful I wont post a pic, but later on I'll post one of the custom case I built for my son. I'm waiting on some parts for mine, but shipping from Shenzen takes forever.
I was running an i7 4790...but mistakenly didn't order the "K"...so that is in my son's new PC now. Truth is that i5 when clocked and cooled gives about 5% better performance than the locked i7 for roughly a 16% increase off stock i5 settings.
How is that Maximus treating you? I have been eyeballing one for a bit but the reviews have been less than stellar.
