I am very excited right now !!! So happy to actually feel and know I have forgiven my sister. I have gone no contact with any of my sibling for many years. My choice.
My oldest sister has been my nemesis for as long as I can remember. Many years of therapy for many reasons, her being in there somewhere.
I recently found out she had a fall and was alone for a very long time before anyone found her.
When I found out (thru my son), I actually felt compassion and hurt and fear for her. I had to set back a few minutes and process what I was feeling. It felt so good !!!! To actually CARE what happened to her.
I texted my nephew to find out how she was and an update. She is being well taken care of in the hospital and will be home soon with a Home Health nurse.
I just had to share this. I am happy for ME too.... that all that history with her are memories with no feelings attached.....Will not contact her, no need to do that... but am so very happy to see and be able to share that the work pays off... for my fellow sufferers.... keep on keepin' on...there is hope.
