Hi i am new here, a bit afraid, very vunerable with a facade of i have it all together, now i cant keep that up and i feel as if everyone can see the large hole inside of me and can see the wind blowing.

I feel i have lost 20 years of my life to depression and ptsd, i am so alone these days, what is left of me i have no idea.

Welcome to the Forum. I think we all start out afraid, or unsure. New things are just that way for me. I hope you will look around all the threads, and learn a few things you didn't know. I sure have.

I've 'lost' a few years to my depression/ptsd also, but have learned to accept how things are now, and go with the flow when I can. Meds, therapy, and persistence is necessary for the journey. Don't give up, or give in!

Please be open to hope, and to reaching out, even when it is so difficult.

Kat, vulnerable is normal with trauma... there is a lot of support and help here, however; you have to help yourself, nobody else can do the work for you. You can continue to run and hide from it all, so far it doesn't sound like its done you any favours, or you can rise above, try something different, and get a little aggressive with yourself to motivate yourself into healing.

Welcome, Kat. I have found wonderful support here on the forum. Read the threads, they are very helpful. I've spent most of my life depressed. It gets old, doesn't it? Since you are lonesome, I would encourage you to go into the chat. Good company can be found there.
