Full Medication Review With Psychiatrist.

Today at 11 am UK standard time I will be being assessed by a psych.

I have been told that this one will be sorting my medications properly once and for all.

TBH, I am shit scared of going, what else he will find wrong with me, how many meds he thinks and which ones, especially as I have had nothing proper apart from a mild sleeper since May last year.

Asking for strength to get me through today, I have not slept for three nights again now because of triggers and apprehensions around today's appointments.

@Ghostybear73 please could you take responsibility for the :hug:omatic refills today for me. thanks :)

Similar to me. Today at 2 PM (GMT+1) I will be bringing in a dream diary after a month and I'm really nervous, I forgot some of the dreams because I didn't write them in time so I forgot them. I am afraid what he will tell my parents. I am afraid what will be with me.

Well,

There is hope for the NHS Psychiatry department after all. I saw a very capable Psychiatrist who agreed almost instantly he witnessed my hyper manic state after no sleep for three days again, ordered a full baseline blood screen and has prescribed me Abilify.

Finally I am getting somewhere.

Well,

took my first dose of Abilify at 1400 hrs yesterday, thought I would have a quick nap...... woke up 24 hours later 13 hours later in a right confused and disorientated state !!!!!

Yeah - Abilify hits hard often on the first dose, I think. That was my experience - it didn't knock me out for a long time, but right after I took my first dose of .25 I felt so dizzy and tired and nauseous that I was afraid something was really wrong. That particular response never happened again. My next dose was just a little sleepy-making, and then it was very manageable.

Many people get great benefits from it - I did for quite awhile. I hope it does well for you!
