At first I was a bit perturbed with all the uniform moves last decade just to entice people to join the military. I remember this one fool I worked with, had been in for 20 years, as desk infantry, back stabber, ego puke all of a sudden got all cocky when the Army allowed everyone to wear the beret. Eventually, things worked themselves out, it was a joke since we all knew who went forward, who got into the shit and who was working the personnel system for stale gingerbread. Those uniform manipulations are truly FUNNY. :rolleyes:

It was when they weren't wearing any uniform that I stayed up front. I've had them walk on the plane wearing everything from levis to full blown tiger stripes. Stens, M-3s, lotz of silencers and of course Car-16s. We'd do a short field, get em off the plane and get the hell out of there. And then there's the ROCs. Oh, they wore the same uniforms, it's just some of them would come back short a few insigna. Seems they left them in the most inconvenient spot on the enemy.

And the kids run around in ripstop and woodlands camo, thinking how cool it is.
