As a kid my grandfathers took me target shooting. My paternal grandad was a veteran of two wars and a union brick layer. My maternal grandad had a PhD in English and literature.

After missing the target numerous times, I muttered "Shit." under my breath. Maternal grandfa tore into me with the "Only unintelligent, poorly educated people swear. My paternal grandfa said to him "Wrong. Intelligent educated, hardworking people swear because they are too busy working their asses off to waste time stringing together flowerery words."

I didn't know if I should laugh or run...both them old farts could dot dice at 100 with iron sights...
