Here it comes lol. It only happens once a year so it’s got to be a big deal.

basil sprouted. Ginger is growing but small it’s still indoors. Today I went to a new garden center well new to me.

I got:

Oregano
different basil
Italian parsley
A small burgundy ficus
And a HUGE draecena. Variegated. It’s healing something in me. I’m so tired but I’m looking forward to cleaning the leaves

Today I picked up Juliet tomatoes (Roma and cherry cross)

Japanese cucumbers (10 for $5!)

And more soil
Have a lot of repotting to do since most will be deck gardening

And friend gave me some tomato and sunflower seedlings!

I am vexed.

2mo ago I was not up to getting my seedlings started (indoors, with grow light, & fan to flatten them / bulk up their stalks…. Looooove watching the puny flattened seedlings start being able to lean against the fan; making thick fat stalks, that are nutrient 6 lane highways instead of pedestrian avenues).

This month I’m not up to planting. (Above non-existent seedlings, late start varieties, or bought-cheaters).

It’s a durn good thing my garden no longer feeds us. Because it soooooo wouldn’t feed us. As it ain’t gonna happen this year. I’m rarely even up for growing sprouts in a jar, this year. Much less food & medical gardens. >.<

My wife’s Mother’s Day flowers, I always get them, they last so long and never remember the name, and my irises with the sun behind them I always cut some and bring them in. They go by quickly but the buds will keep opening so I have to pick at them .
