Hi, my name is Vern and I have suffered from PTSD before I knew what it was. I was diagnosed 20 years ago, but have not been able to receive real help for it. My PCP is prescribing meds, but I need to get some sort of help, other then counseling. I have been that road and cannot stand the bumps. PTSD is not common where I live, so no one really knows hot to treat it. I am so tired of waiting for people to get educated and informed. I just do not have the energy to teach them. I am really glad tobe here, and hope I can help others as well as myself.

I am also new to this and have had ptsd for at least 9 years...i hope I can receive help as well...i have been to a lot of doctors also...living with this is a daily struggle hope to find help here somehow!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it seems all the doctors these days only want to prescribe pills...is it really the answer?
