So I decided I should keep track of my goals for the summer... I have a few that come to mind right now, so in no particular order, here's the start of my list:
I have a manualized treatment plan for social skills, that I have from a course on psychotherapy theories that I took a while ago. I am going to try to find that today, read through it again, and see if I can modify some things to come up with my own to help me with things I struggle with. I seem to be able to meet someone new and start talking with them almost every time I go out, but I'm never the one to initiate that contact, and the whole time I'm scared shitless and just want to flee from that area and get away from people. I need to work on getting more comfortable with social contact and such. I think I will pull out that manual when I get home tonight, first I have to survive stopping by the store to pick up some cold meds and then going to my therapy appointment.
- Write at least 2 research grant proposals
- Write proposals for two books
- Research grad schools
- Work on grad school applications
- Start gardening
- Start up business to sell art/greeting cards/etc
- Make more new friends, work on social skills
- Get a service dog
- Find a new job working as a bartender, or...?
