Wow, I got a message about my grammar being sub-standard because I didn't capitalize my 'I's. I didn't capitalize my 'I's because I severed a tendon in my right hand and cant use it to type. So, it's faster for me to type 'i' instead of 'I'.

I'm not used to typing with one hand, so it takes forever.

The message I feel I received: your grammar is more important than your support of other people or your own need for support.

I thought this would be one place I could express myself without anxiety but apparently not.

Maybe I'll come back in a few months when my tendon has healed and I can write on here with two hands rather than spending my time more worried about my grammar. :banghead:

Grammar Schmammer.... you're right, who cares how you spell, I'd have thought a person would deserve more respect for what they're saying and not how they're spelling. Don't sweat it, everywhere you go in life, you'll meet the most amazing people.... with a smattering of a**holes. Dust it off and don't take it onboard :)

Hi Crow88 I get those too, lot's and not just grammar.

One hand was broken and I'm not on a pc I have a phone (no spell check small key's). Hand still not 100%.

When I read that people with ptsd can have difficulty reading information, rules make sense.

I read more on here, but I just kept on replying too. Seem to be well understood on here.

I'm just saying, don't let that stop you.

Ha ha.... I can't believe you are on a forum for people who suffer from PTSD and other issues and someone actually pointed out an inconsistency with your capitalization of a word?? Man, laugh that sh&^ off and keep on keeping on. Someone so worried about a petty discrepancy isn't worth the time or hurting your wrist to respond.

Was it an admin? I find sometimes my posts get edited... it kind of makes me giggle that someone is concerned about our grammar. I also think more highly of the people on here because I rarely find grammar mistakes, but maybe there is an admin out there who is passionate about grammar and therefor is making us all look smarter than the average bear! Just let it go Crow :)

Grammer ninjas...... Ha! Man I would think people would have better things to do..

@joeygn72, @M4gg1e,

I hope you both realizing that you're talking smack about our mods and admins. There is a very valid reason behind the rule and you agreed to follow it when you signed up. Grammar rules keep posts readable. It's hard to read a post when someone writes in text speak or doesn't use proper grammar like actually writing in complete sentences. I am one of those people who find such posts very hard to read and I'm grateful for the rule.

@Crow88,
Try not to worry about the grammar warning. We ALL get one at some point.

See now the other joey is coming out...Wait I should have capitalized my own name..I'm sure I'll get a notice for that..Either way here's my list of concerns regarding the last post. A. I wasn't "talking smack" as you put it. Just like sometimes a cigar is just a cigar,in this case sometimes a joke is just a joke. B. Besides the obvious disorders I suffer from I also have the Oppositional defiant disorder(thats a disorder that causes me to not give a rats &^% about rules!)... C. What made you feel the need to defend the mods and admins? They are adults and if they find what I said offensive I am sure they are healthy enough to send me a notice stating my comments are unacceptable.,I think thats some counter transference you have going on.

To save you the trouble of having to click report I'll go ahead and do it myself...

@Crow88, we've all had these warnings. You haven't been singled out. And, like Solara says, there is a good reason for these rules.

You said, "It's faster for me to type 'i' instead of 'I'. But the point is that it is much slower for many of us to read. Our brains are already close to overwhelmed and it only takes a little thing like that to be very frustrating. We want to offer you support, but you need to help us too.

@joeygn72,

Yes, that's smack, and no, it's not counter transference. You felt the need to put them down and I said that's not right. They do a LOT of work here and what right do you have to sign up and put them down? So not cool. Go ahead and don't follow the rules if you so desire. Blaming it on a disorder won't get you a reprieve. We all have to follow forum rules even if we don't agree with them.

Well I apologize,I sometimes forget that others are far more sensitive than I am. Must be my upbringing. Also I inadequately express my true feelings through what I consider to be humor which only amounts to a thinly veiled attempt at emotional avoidance. In the future I will curtail my behavior as to not offend someone's fragile sensibilities.
