What made you feel the need to defend the mods and admins?
The fact that they provide and maintain this safe haven for people like me and every other user here, yes it's upsetting and even distressing at times that we feel reprimanded when it's not our fault, but when it's not me on the recieving end, I must admit, I really appreciate the fact that I can read and understand every post, whether it's a good day or I'm triggered.

others are far more sensitive than I am. Must be my upbringing
In the future I will curtail my behavior as to not offend someone's fragile sensibilities.
These judgements could be and are offensive to others here, many of us were severely abused and bullied through our childhoods, you have no right to presume things you don't know and then patronise and passively aggressively throw about insults about others being "fragile" when all they are doing is upholding standard procedure. You have as much right as everyone else here, just as they have the same amount as you, therefore all disorders/traumas/everything is considered equal.

The rules are just site maintenance, if you don't follow them occasionally then you will receive an automatic message, as standard, it's not personal, it's just part of the process. If you consistently break them, then you will be banned. I think that would be a shame because I believe you are entitled to this as much as every other user here and maybe I'm biased because here has helped me and a lot of other's that I've seen, but I believe here would be a good place for you too. Don't let an automatic grammar warning get you down.

it kind of makes me giggle that someone is concerned about our grammar.
The staff take time to maintain it that way to help people prevent people from being triggered, a disorganised mind sometimes accompanies PTSD and it helps us. Plus you know the way you like it that everyone else writes nice, well we all appreciate that, sometimes people need help to maintain that and whether it's a little or a lot, don't knock it, it's what makes this place so nice. Like a well maintained garden, all the plants have been trimmed and any rubbish cleaned up, that way everyone can appreciate it fully.

I was frustrated when I received grammar and post structure notifications. I did write a respectful but challenging reply to one of the first notifications, before I realized how structured this site is. I have a great deal of respect for all the moderators and Anthony for creating and maintaining this site so thoughtfully. It is a lot more manageable for me to visit and use the site because of the features, including grammar consistency notifications, that they have built into it.

I encourage you to express your comments with respect and consideration. What might seem petty to you is not petty, it just requires some empathy to appreciate. Creating a consistent, comprehensible community experience is not easy and does require some concessions from us. The team here seems to me to take constructive criticism well, but I'd also like to say, on their behalf, many folks here use the service for free, and it is not free for our hosts to run it.

When we are guests in someone's house, perhaps best not to demean, belittle, and ridicule their rules?

Okay, I am now very cross.
Grammer ninjas...... Ha! Man I would think people would have better things to do
Of course, we sit around just waiting for a member to fall foul of the rules - oh and by the way, that is sarcasm (maybe the lowest form of wit, but at this moment I don't care). Moderators do this as volunteers, without payment. We ensure that people follow the rules to which they agreed to upon registration. Did you actually fully read the rules before agreeing to them?
you'll meet the most amazing people.... with a smattering of a**holes
Whom are the a**holes to which you are referring?
When I read that people with ptsd can have difficulty reading information, rules make sense
Thank you.
someone actually pointed out an inconsistency with your capitalization of a word??
Refer to the rules to which you agreed.
but maybe there is an admin out there who is passionate about grammar
No. Only to uphold the rules to which you agreed to upon registration. Speaking for myself as a moderator. Over 5 errors and I will issue a warning, other than that we just edit.

As a moderator, I see what goes on behind the scenes. The cr*p that members seem to think we should put up with. Moderators and Admin are people whos lives have been affected by PTSD. We suffer the same as other members. We give our time freely to give something back to the forum and personally I find it abhorrent when we are slated for enforcing rules to which members agree to follow.

I have had warnings in the past, it is not personal just a reminder of how posts should be written.

I should be on holiday now. My flight leaves early tomorrow, however I couldn't leave without replying. Maybe in future think about how this forum works and the rules to which you agreed. If you had an issue, why did you agree and then complain? Just wondering.

Well, I am very happy about my edited posts, because it made this cell phone survive in my hands.

It's an important one, not just for me.

When the cursor bounces all around, the screen won't move down, and wrong words just fill themselves in oh boy !.

Never took the warnings personal, it was more embarrassing.

Thank you and have a safe flight.

I'm locking this thread because it's pointless and disruptive. Trolling and collusion are not tolerated on this forum.

When every single member joins this forum, they are told of the forum rules. By signing up to the forum you agree to those rules. The rules have been developed over years, with member input, and they are not up for debate. If you don't like the rules, don't use the forum, it really is that simple. There are no exceptions to following the rules.

You might want to read the following. [DLMURL]https://www.myptsd.com/c/articles/member-rights.29/[/DLMURL]

If you have a genuine query about the rules, or if you don't understand why you have been sent a notification, please direct your question to the help desk.

Read the rules and legal policies that you accepted as being read, and understanding, and will comply with, upon registration. If you want to bitch about it, the simple result is that you leave this website and not return, or else, comply to remain here without being banned.

It is truly that simple. Take some damn ownership of your own neglect people, and stop trying to blame the site due to your failure to read and comply with what you accepted in order to post here.
